I have always felt a deep connection to the art of watercolour painting. I’m drawn to the medium’s ability to create unique and unexpected results. The intrinsic qualities of risk and surprise with the use of watercolours are attractive qualities to me, mirroring the twists and turns of both my creative and professional life.
My creative works come from a desire to tell stories and capture the essence of a subject. I enjoy playing with creating texture and that ‘something special’, taking risks and going anywhere my imagination takes me. Exploring other water media and collage enrich my artistic journey.
My works are “expressive impressions,” a blend of realism and abstraction, and I’m always searching for new ways to use my mediums.
I tutor watercolour painting both in weekly classes and workshops throughout Adelaide and share my painting process regularly on my YouTube channel.
My paintings are held in private and corporate collections across Australia and overseas.
