Many thanks to Chris Sanchez for his wonderful photography that inspired this work, just in time for the announcement the the Tawny Frogmouth being voted Australia's bird of the year 2025 after being the runner up for three years.
These birds are so well camouflaged in the landscape and a painting could have been very limited in colour but the turqouise background wash and bronze metallic texture pigment powder adds plenty of visual interest.

Work is unframed size on 100% cotton rag paper using finest grade artist pigment ready for your own choice under glass. Final size is determined by the addition of your chosen matboard and frame
