I Waited for You

There was much excitement throughout the process of creating this original watercolour of Epiphyllum. Often referred to as Orchid Cactus there is a lot of juxtaposing here. Pretty blooms against rugged tough foliage, colour opposites of reds and greens, texture and soft washes.Painted from life, a generous cutting from a neighbour. The blooms are not around for long and how lucky I was it waited for me.
