Daffodils can turn any rainy day into a beautiful sunny day.
Vibrant blooms captured with cool and warm yellows using transparent pigments for petals in thin washes, allows the glow from the white of the paper to provide brilliant highlights. The trumpet like centers with their ruffled edges have deeper orange and golden-yellow washes allowed to mix and find their own marks on the paper. The sunny yellow flowers pop against the dark and moody background which is painted in a loose, wet-in to wet technique to create soft, ethereal, and non-representational forms that do not distract from the main subject.

Work is unframed size on 100% cotton rag paper using finest grade artist pigment ready for your own choice under glass. Final size is determined by the addition of your chosen matboard and frame
