Intuitive Poppies

I had prepared a first wash background a couple of weeks ago and in this demo you will see how I paint from imagination to create a floral work using the marks from the first wash to guide me.

Starting with a background wash painted earlier, I paint intuitively, composing as I go. I share how I keep my colours fresh and how to mix lush greens and darks. You will see me lift out to add depth to the foliage. Use interesting shadow colours and more.
