I am amiss in posting to my studio blog this year, not because I have been idle but in fact the opposite. 2025 has been so full of arty adventure for both myself and my students that the blog has been the one area to be dormant.
I did not want to end 2025 without a single post and also I am keen to diarise for myself the wonderful tutor week I did at La Salle in April in South West France for Palettes de Gascogne.
Painting holidays for hobby artists (and some more serious) combine learning and practising what we love to do along with a relaxing time in lovely surroundings being taken care of by wonderful hosts.
Jill and Terry from La Salle did all that. You could not wish for a better environment, accommodation or food when looking for a arty holiday.
They have visiting tutors from around the world in all types of media and I have been fortunate to have been one of them this year.
I had painters from England, Scotland, USA and even the Caribbean.
I did 25 hours of tutoring over 7 days and shared my watercolour process and love of flowers and birds with such a wonderful group.
Memories will last my lifetime.
