A year in the life of an artist
Painting:
2025 was a creative year of painting that had me re visit using alternative surfaces like cradled wooden panels, painting a few full sheet watercolours, experimenting with hot press paper and new to me Qor pigments.
Tutoring:
It was also a very full one for classes and workshops.
I taught 64 classes, 4 Saturday workshops, a 6 week term for the Burnside Painting Group and tutored for 7 days in South West France. I have had so many beautiful responses from class and workshop members and it is so rewarding to know I have helped others to develop and grow in their own art journey.
I have also renewed and republished my e book , previously watercolour foundations and now
Be Inspired Learn to Paint in Watercolour
Exhibiting:
I joined three new Galleries.
Two online, Madeit Australia and Ground Zero Gallery and an Artist led Barossa Art Gallery and Gifts in the lovely town of Angaston here in South Australia.
Web site:
A tweak and revamp with new collections including the Affordable collection. Making a newsletter subscriber discount a permanent thank you offer.
Last of all a really good tidy up of my studio and art supply cupboard!
All in all a most inspiring year for an artist
